About Action!
Action! Theatre Co. was founded in December, 2007 by a group of Los Angeles-based theatre artists with heads full of fanciful ideas, lots of dog-eared scripts they'd love to do, absurd amounts of eggnog latte-induced energy, a penchant for pop music with slashing guitars, and a love for Shakespeare, zombies, Brecht, politics, Guitar Hero, dance, veggie burgers, cheap beer, sugary cereals, Marvel comic books, Anne Bogart, and movies about the end of the world........in equal amounts.

A!TC Artistic Director Tiger Reel has been bouncing around Los Angeles, Germany and points beyond bringing his theatrical tsunami to whomever was foolish enough to ask for it. (Go ahead. Google his name. We dare you.) Action! Theatre Co. is aiming to be a cultural haven for like-minded artists and patrons who want theatre with that extra kick. The kind of immediate, intimate, pants-wetting experience that live theatre can, has and will give. You know you want it.

In February of 2008, Action! Theatre Co. kicked off its inaugural production: Steve Yockey’s political satire, Cartoon. It was a Critics’ Pick from Backstage West and a GO recommendation from LA Weekly. Its second show of 2008, Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence & Robert E. Lee opened in August.
